Hooked on Fiction

Book hopping from

One scene to the next

Sucked in by

Centuries old mysteries

While browsing through

Crime alley

Killer car, karate spar

Head turning

Romance far

Away, idyllic air,

Tears falling

Too old, too young

For blue hair

Music lair

No liquor spared

For the

Baton twirling

Rebel queen

Competing with

Dusty spurs and camp

Lavender dueling with clover

Enlightenment from
the stars

All vying for an ever short

Attention span

And a tall stack

Of reads

  1. I have just pain given up on a reading list...that stack of books. I just have to go for the shorter poetic words that my web friends write.

That's one of the reasons I started dabbling in Flash Fiction which limits word count from 100, 150 to about 200 words. There just isn't enough time in a day...

  2. Jules,
That never ending pile of books is haunting me. You were right, I did like your story! There's always time for a poem or some Flash Fiction. :)
    Happy reading (and writing)!
